CARRIE SHAW
AFE Administrative Director

As Administrative Director, Carrie currently runs all the day-to-day operations of AFE, including membership, the website, and the Bulletin.

EDUCATION

B.S. EPO Biology, University of Colorado, Boulder, 1979.

M.S. Ecology, University of California, Davis, 1991. Specialization in Conservation Biology, Community Ecology and Plant Ecology.

BACKGROUND

Carrie has over 25 years experience in natural resource conservation and management with the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, The Nature Conservancy, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the Information Center for the Environment - University of California, Davis. Her professional interests include threatened and endangered species conservation, ecological restoration, fire ecology, adaptive management, and environmental program and policy analysis.  

Carrie is a founding board member of the Association for Fire Ecology and is also a member of the Society for Conservation Biology.  She lives in Davis, California with her husband and two sons.
