Nomination Process for AFE Lifetime Achievement Awards in Fire Ecology and Management
Nominations for the Biswell and Stoddard Awards should be for people that have made a significant, life-time contribution to the field of fire ecology and management in the United States. The contribution may be in research, teaching, service, or a combination of these areas.
The nominator must provide the rationale for the nominee to receive the award in two pages or less. Any active member of AFE can submit a nomination. The AFE Board of Directors will make the selections.
Nominations for both awards must be received by November 15, 2007 and should be sent by email to Professor Scott Stephens at: stephens@nature.berkeley.edu.
The awards will be given at the Southwest Fire Ecology Conference in Tucson, AZ in late January, 2008. |
