EDUCATION
Provides a forum for dialogue on fire ecology and management training and education, promotes the development of higher education programs in the areas of fire ecology and management, and serves as a liaison between the student section (SAFE) and the AFE Board.

FINANCE
Reviews the financial status of the organization on a quarterly basis. Assists the Treasurer and Administrative Director in developing the annual budget and proposes to the AFE Board modifications to the approved budget based on financial status. Reviews annually all tax filings and also reviews the costs and adequacy of insurance coverage. Committee Chair
